The ProblemHow It WorksFor ChurchesPartners About Contact Support

Donate

Donations fund the work congregations cannot do themselves.

A sponsoring congregation covers housing and groceries directly. What they cannot easily provide is everything around it: finding the person in the first place, assessing them properly, managing the case month by month, and getting them into work at the end. That is what donations pay for — street outreach, intake and assessment, case management, employment placement, and the administration that keeps every partnership accountable.

For larger gifts, bank transfer costs us far less.

Card processing fees scale with the size of the gift; bank transfer fees do not. On a large congregational gift the difference runs to a hundred dollars or more that stays with the programs instead of going to processing. If you are giving at that level, choose "US bank account" at checkout, or email us and we will arrange it directly.

Your gift is tax-deductible.

The Zero Street Initiative Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, EIN 41-5268237. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive an emailed receipt for every gift, and we provide a written acknowledgement for gifts of $250 or more as the IRS requires for you to claim the deduction. If you need a duplicate receipt or an annual summary, email [email protected].

No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations, so the full amount of your gift is deductible.
